The Scod AGM and AutumnRally

The 2012 Scod Association AGM will be held at the
town house Beam Reach, 20A Birmingham Road, Cowes ,
PO31 7BH, on Saturday 3rd November at 1800
hours with a meal at The Duke of York public
house after the meeting.
The AGM will be combined with the Autumn Rally. For those members who wish to sail over to Cowes, berthing at either the Cowes Corinthian Club or at the marina can be provided. High tide on the Saturday is 1320GMT. Onshore accommodation will be available free of charge for up to 10 members at the Class Captains property which is used for holiday lets or crew lets during the sailing season- seewww.beamreachcowes.co.uk. - this is where we intend to have the AGM meeting before going for dinner at 7.30 pm, once we have final numbers we can book the table at the Duke of York - its likely to be around £15 - £16 for a 2 course meal and coffee. We can also use the CCYC for a pre-meeting or after dinner drinks. Accommodation at Beam Reach will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and will require members/crew to provide their own bedding. We are also intending to provide breakfast for those staying over in Beam Reach prior to your departure. Please indicate by email if you will be attending and if you require accommodation.
Please note those who will be sailing their SCOD over to Cowes the marina fees will be met by the SCOD Association and the accommodation and breakfast is provided with the Class Captains compliments !
If you are not intending to stay overnight in Cowes it is suggested the "Red Jet" from Southampton is used as a ferry which docks 200m from the meeting venue, The Red Jet runs every half hour or hourly and the last one back to Southampton is around 2315 hrs.
We do hope you will endeavour to join in this final event of the year in support of the association. There are a number of important elected committee posts, including Treasurer and Membership Secretary that urgently need filling at this meeting.
